To coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (August 5 – 21), an alternate iteration of the iconic Air Jordan 7 Olympic is scheduled to be offered. Designed by Nike designer extraordinaire, Tinker Hatfield, this particular colorway slight differs from its predecessor. While compared to its original counterpart, hits of blue are more prominent across its underlays. Comprised of premium leather, the overall aesthetic is essentially filled with patriotic flair. Pristine white dominates the upper, as navy-colored nubuck is utilized for its underlays, in addition to more applied on the ankle portion and outsole. To encapsulate the USA-inspired palette, vibrant pops of red adorn the midsole unit more prominently, while additional accents are applied on the heel and inner lining. Finishing touches of metallic gold are seen on the tongue label, lace tips and jumpman logo across the ankle to coordinate with its respective theme.
